Introducing Ben Herbe – Recruitment Consultant
We know our workforce are productive as it shows in their consistency in hitting their set targets, they tell us they’re happy in their roles too, but what else drives them forward?
We put Recruitment Consultant Ben Herbe in the hot seat this week and found out what he had to say about working with us here at Oaklands Global.
Q. Please describe your role at Oaklands Global.
I’m a 360 Recruitment Consultant and I specialise within the Rotary Sector hiring Engineers, Pilots and more.
Q. How long have you been working at Oaklands?
I’ve been working at Oaklands since May 2018 so coming up to 2 years.
Q. Have you always had an interest in recruitment?
When I left college, it wasn’t something that I ever really thought about getting in to to be honest. However now that I’m in the industry, there are plenty of positives!
Why is Oaklands such a good place to work?
Oaklands is a good place to work because of the team atmosphere and company culture. The commission structure is also really good compared to other places I have worked.
What are your favourite aspects of the job?
I enjoy earning decent commission when making big placements, and of course I enjoy helping people find their dream aviation job!
Have you noticed any remarkable changes in the aviation/aerospace industry since you joined the business?
I think with Brexit now sorted, a lot of uncertainty as been put to one side. However, the past two years when that was going on, the recruitment industry noticed a trend in people not looking to hire or looking to move.
Luckily, the Aviation industry was one of the few that survived with not too many problems.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
I find that helping people find their perfect role is the most rewarding aspect of my job.
What is it like working with the Oaklands Global team?
I really enjoy working with my colleagues in the office – it’s a great place to work for socialising out of work hours too.
In your opinion what four words describe Oaklands as a business?
Successful, Professional, Rewarding and Entertaining!
