Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly driven, self-motivated, communicative and flexible aviation support leader to deliver first-class service to our aircraft owners and charter broker clients within a busy fast paced business aviation environment. This role will encompass a variety of tasks but delivering a high level of customer service and compliance at all times. The person would oversee all customer relations through driving and coordinating the operations team and other ground-based teams to provide and exceed customer expectations. Manage customer and owner profiles to ensure that the very best customer experience is provided in the most professional manner. Work with suppliers and flight/cabin crew managers to ensure that our product is tailored to each and every guest who boards our aircraft. Additionally, an awareness of the commercial aspect of our business is essential as well as general market/industry awareness.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Customer liaison – work closely with Brokers and direct customers to provide great customer service
  • Owner representative – work closely with owners on their requirements and to work with cabin crew to build owner profiles and extended family that use the aircraft.
  • To work closely with the sales department to understand customer requirements
  • To foster close and productive relationships with each stakeholder in the business
  • Driving operations team to ensure all flights are dispatched on time
  • Co-ordinate emails, phone calls with customers to manage and exceed expectations
  • Create a roster of ops support staff and on call procedures for all staff.
  • Catering – liaising with cabin crew managers and suppliers to create a quality end- product
  • Liaise and collate accurate passenger details and build customer profiles of customers that charter the aircraft and to use the information to tailor make the service on board.
  • Understand the capability of each aircraft and capacity
  • Ensure company aircraft are flight planned on the most optimum route and altitude based on aircraft performance and conditions including assessment of runway performance via APG.
  • Send broker updates before and after flights
  • Review and monitor any NOTAMS for the coming schedule reporting any issues.
  • Ensure all company requirements for handling and runway slot permissions have been procured as required.
  • Ensure any overflight or technical landing permits have been procured in good time before flight.
  • Supervision and Approval of Notices to Operations Personnel.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Ground Operations Manager within the Aviation industry, preferably with a Business Aviation background
  • Previous form 4 holder experience advantageous
  • Operating systems (Leon, PPS, My Handling, Avinode/SchedAero)
  • Hotac/Travel procedures
  • Catering procedures
  • Crewing FTL violations awareness
  • Crew rostering awareness
  • Company Local Procedures
