Oaklands Global are on the lookout for a skilled aviation professional with a passion for piston engine maintenance and expertise in Garmin avionics systems. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our client as a B1.2 Lead Piston Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical prowess, leadership abilities, and Garmin avionics proficiency in a dynamic aviation environment.
Responsibilities
- Run a team of engineers and technicians in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on piston-powered aircraft.
- Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of Garmin avionics systems, including installation and configuration as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal aircraft downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, compliance documents, and technical manuals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements to continually enhance operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Hold a valid CAA B1.2 License/Group rated Engineer with experience on piston-powered aircraft.
- Proven experience working with Garmin avionics systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and software updates.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
