Oaklands Global is currently looking to recruit an Air Traffic Control Assistant to join a reputable client on a permanent basis based in Oxfordshire.

Role responsibilities;
Responsible for opening and closing checks
 
Input details of all flights, scheduled and actual, into AFIDS and FDMS.
 
Investigate and correct all sequence errors on the AFIDS ATC flight log;
 
Produce flight strips in accordance with MATS Part 1, ICAO, and local requirements;
 
Take telephone bookings and operational messages and disseminate the information in the required format;
 
Initiate and disseminate official weather reports utilising the restricted met certificate using the met system and DATIS.
 
Access CFMU and update flight details accordingly;
 
Co-ordinate all the VCR administration, including updating the Document Register quarterly and ensuring individual documents are updated, and recorded in the document register when required;
 
Support tower and radar task including, requesting ATC clearances via the AFTN from the specified Airways sector for departures and aircraft and ground emergencies.
 
Monitor Tower frequency to assist the controllers in operational tasks;
 
Ensure that the voice recording equipment in use for recording operational frequencies is operating correctly;
 
Monitor UHF frequencies and pass messages on behalf of the controllers, including for the ground control of vehicle movements;
 
Undertake any ATC-related task deemed appropriate by the SATCA, DSATCO, SATCO.
  
Report all incidents, accidents and hazardous or unsafe conditions in accordance with current procedures to Managers and report via Centrik. Report equipment failures using the PFR system.
