Q. Please describe your role at Oaklands Global – your job title and what the role entails.
Recruitment Consultant – Provide recruitment services to a range of Commercial and Business Aviation clients. Through presenting high-calibre candidates to meet business needs.
Q. How long have you been working at Oaklands?
I’ve been in the role for two and a half years now.
Q. Have you always had an interest in recruitment?
It wasn’t an industry I knew very much about until I first began to look for full time work. A few of my friends worked in recruitment and recommended that I look into it. And here I am!
Q. Why is Oaklands such a good place to work?
There are defined career paths and clear structure on how to progress, support and training when you need it – and the opportunity to earn money too.
Q. What are your favourite aspects of the job?
Providing a solution to a client’s problem and managing the 360 process – and of course, making money!
Q. Have you noticed any remarkable changes in the aviation/aerospace industry since you joined the business?
I’ve noticed the change in supply/demand for Commercial and Business Engineers. There is a shortage of highly skilled Engineers with relevant type ratings.
Q. What do you find most rewarding about your job?
When you can tell how much it means to the candidate/client that the outcome will have a real positive effect on their lives/work situation.
Q. What is it like working with the Oaklands Global team?
We’ve always been a really close-knit team, supporting each other through the good times and the some time difficult times too!
Q. In your opinion what four words describe Oaklands as a business?
